Southern Thailand
Southern Thailand is a tropical paradise that combines white sand palm-fringed beaches with rugged, limestone karst-studded jungle terrain. If you don't find your perfect Instagram snap here, you never will!
1. Khao Sok National Park
Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani is one of the most visually stunning places in Thailand.
Giant limestone karst mountains shoot out of the park's waters, surrounded by the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world. Home to an abundance of caves, lakes, and wildlife, you will struggle to find a more Instagrammable spot in the kingdom.
Photo tips:
Don"t miss the rustic floating raft houses on Cheow Larn Lake located in the heart of the national park.
To get the best photos at Khao Sok, hire a private boat instead of joining a group tour. You can set your own pace and get those secluded shots you"re looking for.
10-Day Island Hopping Tour around Eastern Thailand:
2. Phuket
With its tropical beaches, hidden coves, dense forests, and scenic viewpoints, Phuket has no shortage of Instagrammable locations. If we had to pick one, however, it would have to be the Big Buddha.
Sitting atop Nak Kerd Hill near Chalong Bay, this giant 45-meter (145-feet) white buddha statue is one of the island"s most Instagrammed attractions.
Photo tips:
Phuket is a large island, so get your own car or rent a vehicle to get around and take Instagrammable pictures. You should schedule your visits in a way you get to avoid the crowds.
The Big Buddha is most impressive at sunrise. You can capture the "wow factor" of the attraction in your photos.
3. Koh Phi Phi
The Phi Phi islands feature white sand and coconut tree-lined beaches surrounded by a seemingly endless coral reef. The islands are picture-perfect and make an ideal destination for budding Instagrammers.
Maya Bay, Monkey Island, and the Phi Phi viewpoint are only a few of the gems on this tropical paradise. You will get enough Instagrammable photos to last you a month in just a couple of days.
Photo tips:
There are so many photo opportunities around the Phi Phi archipelago, and we don"t want you to miss any of them. A great way to see all of the island"s best spots is to rent a long-tail boat for the day to get around.

Bangkok and Chiang Mai
In Bangkok, our guide Ann and driver "Mr. Ot" (I don't know how to spell his name) were very friendly and professional. You simply can't underestimate the value of having an English speaking guide to show you around, and a driver with a comfortable, sizeable, air-conditioned van take you from place to place. Ann taught us so much about Thailand's history, food, and religion. Mr. Ot always opened our door with a smile, and had cool towels and ice-cold bottled water for us. More

Excellent guide in Siem Reap
Our recent time spent in Siem Reap was made even more memorable by our expert guide, Som Piseth. Som was knowledgeable, attentive, flexible and super helpful - we learnt so much about Siem Reap and Cambodia in our 3 days with him. His English was excellent and his knowledge of, and pride in, his country was outstanding. We would highly recommend Som for anyone wanting an excellent guide in Siem Reap! More

Northern Thailand
Northern Thailand has stunning mountains, dense forests, a beautiful culture, and unique food. Chiang Mai, the region's most-visited city, is home to several ethical elephant sanctuaries. You can get the most-Instagrammable content in Chiang Mai.
4. Chiang Mai's Elephant Sanctuaries
Top Instagrammers see a spike in engagement when they post pictures with animals. Visit one of our recommended elephant sanctuaries to get up close and personal with the gentle giants and capture amazing photos for your IG feed. By popularising the elephant sanctuaries, you will also contribute to a great cause.
Photo tips:
Book a midweek tour to one of the elephant sanctuaries, if possible. You will find a lesser number of visitors there, which will give you a better chance to get that perfect shot of the elephants.
6-Day Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai Highlights Tour:
5. Chiang Mai Sky Lantern Festival
The Sky Lantern Festival (Yi Peng) is the biggest celebration held in Chiang Mai. Yi Peng makes a "photographer"s dream come true as the opportunities for stunning photos abound through the course of the festival. Numerous sky lanterns, adorned with lights, are released and 'float' up into the sky.
6. Chiang Rai
Coffee and tea plantations are the main attractions of the Chiang Rai Province, and, luckily, they are open to the public as they make for very Instagrammable settings.
The Choui Plantation is home to a charming tea house that offers panoramic views over the scenic plantation. It also has a restaurant and tea tasting sessions. You will surely find some Instagrammable shots here.
If you like your coffee with a view, then visit Doi Pha Mee. Perched atop a mountain, the farm"s coffee shop offers incredible views of the sweeping valley below. The table with the best view of the valley is the most Instagrammed spot in the locality.
Photo tips:
Chiang Rai is so picturesque that you don't need expert skills to capture stunning photographs here. However, you will benefit from a phone with an ultra-wide lens or a dedicated wide lens while capturing Chiang Rai's incredible landscapes.
7. Mae Hong Son
Mae Hong Son is most famous for Pai, a small laidback town and a backpacker's haven. The Mae Hong Son Loop, a circular route that takes you in and around the province, attracts motorcyclists.
Riding the winding roads that pass through the verdant mountains of Northern Thailand is an enchanting experience. There are several IG-friendly photo-ops throughout the Mae Hong Son Loop.
If motorbiking isn"t for you, then head to Santichon Village, a small Chinese town nicknamed "Little Yunnan." Take some captivating shots of the valley from the Yun Lai. Enjoy a cup of traditional Chinese tea while setting up for the perfect shot.
Photo tips:
Santichon is perfect for either sunrise or sunset shots and doesn"t get busy unless it"s a public holiday. Go here midweek, before dawn, and you"ll have the place to yourself.
13-Day Essence of Thailand Tour:
Western Thailand
8. Kanchanaburi
From famous landmarks to stunning countryside, Kanchanaburi offers something for every photographer. The sheer beauty of the province ensures that even amateurs get perfect Instagrammable shots.
Budding Instagrammers must visit the bridge over the Kwai River, the Death Railway viaduct, the Erawan Falls, and the stunning countryside surrounding the Wat Tham Sua and Mae Klong Dam temples.
Photo tips:
Hire a driver familiar with the local area to get around. Kanchanaburi"s main attractions get busy with day-trippers, so leave early to avoid the crowds.
Central Thailand
7-Day Central Thailand Exploration:
9. Bangkok
The bright lights of Bangkok"s skyline mixed with old town temples provide plenty of Instagrammable photos. Our favourites are the Wat Arun and Wat Pho temples in the ancient city.
Wat Arun and Wat Pho
Wat Arun and Wat Pho are on either side of the Chao Phraya River. The two temples are quite different from each other, thereby offering unique photo opportunities.
You can easily cover both temples on the same day. There is a ferry service operating between the temples every few minutes from morning until sunset.
Photo tips:
We suggest you start at Wat Arun and climb the white temple, then head to Wat Pho to see the Giant Reclining Buddha. Later, visit the nearby rooftop bar at Sala Rattanakosin to watch the sunset at Wat Arun. It is one of the most beautiful sights in Bangkok because it appears as if the sun is descending right behind the temple.
Sky Bar at Lebua State Tower
The Sky Bar attained popularity after getting featured in the movie The Hangover Part II and is now Bangkok"s most-visited rooftop bar.
The bar and the restaurant offer panoramic views of the city"s financial district and the Chao Phraya River. You can get some amazing Instagrammable shots of the stunning city skyline and the serene river below.
Photo tips:
Lebua is extremely popular, so you cannot escape the tourists. If you are willing to wait for a break in the crowds, you will be rewarded with some fantastic snaps that will take your IG feed to the next level.
10. Ayutthaya
The old capital of Thailand is a mini Angkor Wat. The ancient Khmer-style ruins, coupled with the unrivaled views over the Chao Phraya River, offer picture-perfect shots. If food photography is your thing, then do order a plate of giant river prawns at any restaurant.
Photo tips:
To get the most Instagrammable photos at the Ayutthaya Historical Park and avoid the crowds, aim to arrive when the park opens.
Ayutthaya is pretty close to Bangkok, making it a popular group-tour destination from the capital. The park is bustling on weekends and public holidays, so it is best to avoid visiting on those days.
