We had a wonderful time in the two small towns and two larger cities that Asia Highlights booked for us. Kaya Han was very very helpful in booking great interactive activities that enhanced our experience and knowledge.

People calling we were so lucky to have Kimora as our tour guide! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the area, but created a wonderful experience for us every day and the timing of the events and recommendations he made were top-notch! As first-timers to Japan, he had our backs!

I booked a custom trip to South Korea and Japan with Asia Highlights and had an incredible experience. Alisa was my 7/24 contact she tailored the itinerary thoughtfully and in accordance with my interests. During the trip she was always available with answers to all my requests. Local guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything stress-free.

We, 8 American men, just returned from our private tour of Japan, 4/25-5/3. Our trip coordinator was Heidi, and she was simply outstanding! Hiedi was always very responsive, even when her automated replies said she was on vacation.

Albee has been a GREAT! Travel coordinator and advisor for our group of 12. She’s always, quick to respond to any concerns and always has a solution.We are very satisfied with her services.

We all feel so grateful and fortunate that we got Allan!!He is expertly knowledgeable, and was positively delightful. We enjoyed every minute with him. He truly went out of his way to make sure that we felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for! He had so much historical, cultural, and local knowledge to weave into his descriptions, stories and conversations. I can’t say enough about our experience with him. Simply the Best!! EVER!!

Jeremy was a fantastic tour guide during my time in Tokyo as well as on a day trip to Mt Fuji. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and really made our time in Tokyo special. His deep understanding of Japanese culture and history added a special touch to every stop, from hidden local gems to famous landmarks.

My grandparents and I had Kunki SYO as our tour guide in Kyoto this past March and he was so incredible. Not only did he have a ton of information to share on each place we visited on our itinerary, he also brought us to additional sites and shops based on what we were interested in and looking for most.

I have used Monica MANY times to arrange my international trips. She always exceeds my expectations with great suggestions, incredible hotels and buffets, fantastic drivers, and great photographic experiences (as per my request). Our travel guide in Kyoto was Slash, he was very well informed, he gave tips how to avail to tourist discounts and the process involved and guided us on good dining and shopping options. Our travel guide for a day trip to Mount Fuji was Alan! Alan definitely went above and beyond in being our guide, he was very personable, jovial and was a big hit with our whole family.

Alan was our guide in Tokyo and amazing does not describe our experience well enough. His energy and enthusiasm for sharing his city with us made this experience memorable. He was full of information and answered our questions about culture, history, and the current state of Japanese social policies. His energy is infectious. We could not imagine our time in Japan without him.

Our tour guide, SLASH, in Osaka & Kyoto was PHENOMENAL!! He made sure that our cultural experience was as authentic as possible while catering to our preferences. He was always willing to help us find places to eat. We truly enjoyed all the dining experiences that he recommended. He was knowledgeable on the places we visited and shared fun facts about the Japanese culture.

We had the trip of a lifetime in Tokyo and Kyoto! Alan was our guide in Tokyo and he was amazing! He planned the trip out flawlessly, gave us suggestions on our free day and always ensured we were having the best time. We got along so well and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Johnny met and exceeded our every expectation. He was extremely personable and peppered our experience with personal stories and experiences. I can’t say enough good things about Johnny. My son would like to come back to Tokyo and hopes to meet up again with Johnny in the future. Thank you!

The professionalism and knowledge of their cities speak high of all the guides. Jennifer in Tokio was so special that on the last day in Tokio she went to the train station to make sure we boarded the right train, and brought us snacks to take with us. NG in Kyoto suggested us to make up a day to go to Hiroshima, we got the approval from Asia Highlights and he went with us to visit this historic city.

Alisa was responsible for the Japan period and in a week at most we had figured it out as it was done 15 days before our trip; that said we are from Brazil which means that China is 11 hour ahead of us and that was no impediment at all.

He explained colorful background stories -- more than this review can hold, but if you are fortunate enough to have Johnny as your guide, you will learn so much more (and enjoyably) than if you go on your own. His knowledge, friendliness and flexibility to conform a tour to his clients' needs is remarkable. We recommend him to family and friends alike who are traveling to Japan.

Tan and William were outstanding guides - not only did they knowledgeably walk us through a day of touring through the Mt Fuji area (Tan) and Kyoto surrrounds (William), making sure we had the best views, lots of photos and learning about history and culture in Japan, but even after the tour they both helped us navigate transport and planning even after the day of guiding. Great experience. Overall huge kudos to Asia Highlights!
