Weather: December is one of the best months to visit Bangkok. The average daytime temperature is around 30°C, while the evenings will be relatively cool and the temperatures will drop to about 20°C. In terms of precipitation, rainfall in December is very little, so the humidity is relatively low.
For outdoor tours, please remember to wear sun cream and drink plenty of water.
Clothing: T-shirts and shorts are appropriate in December. If you want to plan more outdoor activities, you should prepare a pair of comfortable sports shoes or flat shoes.
Travel tip: There are celebrations on Christmas and New Year's Eve in Bangkok. Shopping malls in Thailand have big sales from late December to early January. If you're planning a trip to Thailand over the Christmas and New Year period, try to book as early as possible. Popular hotels are usually booked up 3-6 months in advance.

Fantastic Southeast Asia Trip
![]() We had an excellent time in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand on our trip organized by Asia Highlights. Without their excellent guides and itinerary we would not have been able to experience everything we had in less than 2 weeks. All of the guides and drivers were incredibly helpful and considerate of our needs. Thank you Borin (Cambodia), Mui (Bangkok), Lee (Bangkok), Tip (Pattaya), Abe and other staff for coordinating an awesome vacation for us!! More

We loved our experience in Bangkok with…
![]() We loved our experience in Bangkok with our guide Ying. She made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. She guided us through crowded areas with ease and always provided a detailed description of the sights. She also took pictures for us and sent them at the end of every day. We had an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Ying! You won’t be disappointed! More

Things to Do
Christmas Celebrations
Like other Western countries, Christmas has become one of the most important festivals of the year in Bangkok, especially for young people. At the beginning of December, shopping malls are decorated with dazzling decorations, and all kinds of discount promotions will also begin.
The malls will be decorated with Christmas trees, and all kinds of buildings, trees, bridges, and even tuk tuks and street food stalls are decorated with a riot of colors, Christmas lights, and flashing lights, turning Bangkok into a wonderland. All of these may make you forget that you are in a traditional Buddhist country.
Small Teak Boat Canal Adventure: This trip will not take you to the usual tourist attractions, so please get ready to go to the side of Bangkok you have never seen before.
If you rent a private boat, you can stop at every beautiful scenic spot you want to see, and you will have the chance to taste the local food and to listen to the tour guide talk about Bangkok's past. If you're tired of the bad road traffic in Bangkok, it's a good idea to have a trip like this.
Bangkok Flower Market
Bangkok Flower Market (Pak Klong Talad) is the largest wholesale and retail flower market in Bangkok. You can find almost every kind of flower in the market and they will dazzle you with their colors. Most of them are sold in a package of 50 or 100 flowers. The price is surprisingly cheap.
Bangkok Flower Market is located on Chak Phet Road, to the south of Wat Pho. Picking a sunny day, visiting the flower market, and choosing a bunch of flowers for your lover or family members will make you really happy.
Flight Simulation
Being a pilot may be a childhood dream for many people. In Bangkok, you can achieve your childhood dream via a flight simulation. For families with kids traveling together, this will draw your kids' interests.
For young people who dream of being a pilot, this opportunity will give them hope, while those who are afraid to fly will gain courage with this activity.
Although this is not cheap, its cost is still much lower than in Western countries. This place is located on the second floor of Ekkamai Shopping Mall, which is easy to find because it is connected to Ekkamai BTS Station.
