Koh Lanta is arguably Thailand's quietest tourist destination and is mostly made up of high-end resorts that happen to be experts when it comes to catering for honeymooning couples looking for a romantic break.
Despite the island being very quiet and laid back, there is so much to see and do here. One day you can be relaxing on the beach staring out into the crystal blue seas and lapping up the sun while the next day you could be island hopping, soaking in hot springs, traversing mangrove forests, kayaking, scuba diving or taking a customary trip to James Bond Island.

6. Koh Phangan – Party and Romance

10. Hua Hin – Short Honeymoon Break
Hua Hin is perfect if you only have a few days in Thailand for your honeymoon. If you have longer, then we would suggest one of the islands for a more tropical honeymoon experience.
This is a small and very famous town that can get very busy. If you like to eat out at restaurants, then you will be right at home because there is a huge selection of European, Thai, North and South American, Japanese, and Korean cuisine here.
However, the huge number of fresh seafood establishments are the most prominent style of restaurant in Hua Hin. You will also be able to wander through the many night markets here where it seems just about everything is on sale here from souvenirs to copy brand t-shirts.
During the day you can relax in your resort, which there are plenty to choose from, go swimming in the sea, sunbathe to your heart's content, or take a tour to one of the close-by attractions. One of the most popular places to visit in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park where you will be taken on a tour of its amazing sandstone caves.
How to get there: You can take a train here if you are already in Bangkok. Otherwise from the airport, you can catch a bus or make things easier by simply booking a taxi which is only a short two-hour trip from Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok.
