Two weeks is a perfect amount of time to explore Bali. You can leisurely explore all the must-see spots and uncover hidden gems away from the popular trails. Excellent experience in Bangkok
Ying was our guide in Bangkok. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She knew exactly how to move us through crowds quickly so that we could see all we wanted to say and made good recommendations for other things we were interested in. I would not hesitate to recommend Ying or anyone that helped us at Asia highlights More

Itinerary 1: A Well-Rounded Bali Itinerary for 2 Weeks
Slow-pacers would have the chance to enjoy insightful moments with this 2-week in-depth exploration of Bali.
In this itinerary, we suggest you spend a week exploring Bali's cultural hub — Ubud, then relax yourselves on Bali's sandy beaches and enjoy various water activities for the second week.
7 Days in Ubud: Temples, Light Hiking, and Local Life
- Day 1: Fly to Bali and transfer to Ubud
- Day 2: Swing Heaven, Monkey Forest, and Tegenungan Waterfall
- Day 3: A 2-hour cycling adventure, organic farm visit, crafting plates experience, and a feast with a Balinese family
- Day 4: An art tour to a museum of modern Balinese art, Ubud Art Market, and a Kecak dance and royal dinner at Tanah Gajah
- Day 5: A religious tour of Sebatu, discovering active temples and partaking in a purifying ritual
- Day 6: A Mount Batur sunrise trek and Toya Bungkah Hot Springs tour (Mount-Batur alternatives are available if you don't want to get up around 3 a.m.)
- Day 7: free time in Ubud
Your Ubud adventure would start with its most iconic landmarks on Day 2. Capture Instagram-worthy jungle nest photos at Swing Heaven, interact with the macaques in Monkey Forest and breathe the oxygen-rich air at Tegenungan Waterfall.
On the following day, you would venture into the countryside. Cycle the rural roads, pick fruits and vegetables in a local organic farm, and have a feast with a local family.
On Day 4, you would have a laid-back day experiencing Balinese art and enjoying Kecak dancing in a resort surrounded by rice fields. A royal dinner in a scenic candle-lit setting would provide moments to remember!
Day 5 would immerse you in the Balinese religious culture. Take a guided walk through the temple complex in Sebatu, don a traditional sarong, and bathe in holy water for a local purifying ritual.
If you are an active traveler, you would love the sunrise trek up Bali's most popular volcano — Mount Batur. After a 3-hour trek, what could be more rejuvenating than soaking in volcanic, mineral-rich hot springs?
After several energetic days, enjoy a free day in Ubud for a leisurely stroll in the local markets, maybe some souvenir shopping, a yoga class, or just a hotel staycation.
A Week of Beach Fun in Bali: Dolphin-Spotting, Island-hopping, and Sunbathing
- Day 8: Transfer to Lovina Beach, visiting Tamblingan Lake in Munduk on the way
- Day 9: Spot dolphins, snorkel, and then transfer to Nusa Dua
- Day 10: A romantic sunset cruise around Jimbaran Bay with a visit to Uluwatu Temple
- Day 11: An island-hopping tour to Nusa Lembongan with water activities
- Days 12–13: Free time
- Day 14: Depart from Bali for your next destination
Your second week in Bali would allow you to unwind on less-visited Lovina Beach and fully enjoy a variety of oceanside fun, from sunbathing and snorkeling to dolphin-spotting and island-hopping.
On Day 8, you would take a 3-hour drive to Lovina Beach, one of the best places to watch dolphins in Bali. Along the way, stop at Munduk, a serene village in the northern highlands, and walk around its must-see Tamblingan Lake.
On Day 9, in the morning, take a boat ride to spot friendly dolphins. If you like, you could swim with them! For more chances to encounter these lovely animals, May to August is the best time to consider. Conclude your day with a 3-hour drive to Nusa Dua, the idyllic base for your island-hopping tour and leisurely beach time.
A perfect beach vacation is not complete without a mesmerizing sunset over the ocean. To escape the crowds, take a sunset cruise from Jimbaran Bay and visit clifftop Uluwatu Temple.
For your island-hopping tour, a day trip to Nusa Lembongan is ideal if you like snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking. If you're not into water activities, Nusa Penida would be a better choice for cliffside viewpoints and beautiful bays.
With your free time on days 12 and 13, you could swim in a scenic infinity pool, relish a Balinese massage, or cook Balinese dishes together with locals.
Itinerary 2: 14-Day Singapore and Bali Relaxation
Singapore and Bali are a perfect combo with a laid-back atmosphere, which also offers a sunny getaway during the May-to-October rainy season in most Southeast Asian areas.
This itinerary is customized for couples/families seeking a blend of relaxed cultural immersion and engaging outdoor experiences.
We suggest spending 4 nights in Singapore and 9 nights in Bali as follows:
- Day 1: Arrive and enjoy the night scenery, which is one of the highlights of Singapore.
- Day 2: City sightseeing: Chinatown, Kampong Glam, and Little India
- Day 3: Food and urban culture experience, Merlion Park, and Singapore Botanic Gardens
- Day 4: A trip to Sentosa Island for Universal Studios or S.E.A. Aquarium

Sample diverse Asian foods in a street food adventure, and view the futuristic buildings along Marina Bay on Day 3. Next, you would take a cable car to Sentosa Island for fun in Universal Studios or S.E.A. Aquarium, which are both particularly kid-friendly.
Then immerse yourself in Bali for the remaining 10 days. A classic 10-day Bali itinerary usually includes 5 nights in Ubud and 4 nights by the beaches. Beyond the popular highlights suggested on Itinerary 1, you would see the marvelous Taman Ayun Temple complex and take in an enchanting sunset behind offshore Tanah Lot temple. Thrilling-seekers, up your heartbeat with an exciting canyon-tubing ride!
