Myanmar Weather in May - Beginning of the rainy season

By Wendy Updated Feb. 20, 2024

Myanmar May weather is very welcoming: still hot but it becomes cooler by the end of May. Myanmar is not so crowded in May, and you can enjoy your trip to the fullest.

As May is the beginning of the rainy season, the southwest monsoon rains start to bring rainfall to the whole country. For central regions like Bagan, there is less rainfall and plenty of sunshine for travel.
