Top Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City

By Ruby ZhaoUpdated Sep. 24, 2021

Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City offer visitors a wide range of options from western cuisines like French and Italian, Asian food like Chinese and Thai to local Vietnamese food. While street food makes good snacks, it's important to find an authentic restaurant to try the local cuisine, as this is part of experiencing the culture.

Sit-down restaurants with well-trained waiters and printed menus often specialize in a particular type of cuisine. The restaurants we recommend below have been carefully selected to meet the needs of different diet habits. Not only are there a lot of traditional Vietnamese dishes and a wide array of fusion dishes, but also vegetarian options.

Recommended restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City

The first restaurant we chose is KOTO Saigon, offering traditional Vietnamese food, and warm and welcoming staff, made up of disadvantaged young people learning on the job. An opportunity to taste excellent food and help the local community.

Other restaurants offering traditional food are Den Long and The Daun; you certainly won't be disappointed. The food is extremely good, and the ambience make these perfect places for families.

If you want to try something different, head to Baba's Kitchen, where you can taste authentic Indian dishes, or to Hum Vegetarian for ample choice of vegetarian food.
