Top Hotels in Yangon - Luxury and Business Hotels

By Wendy Updated Oct. 26, 2022

Yangon retains its colonial charm, with a great number of colonial-era buildings and an urban core. Though the accommodation options in the city are many, they tend to have less character and be more expensive than in other cities.

The hotels we recommend are mainly luxury and business hotels (4-star and above), for the 3-star hotels in Yangon are not that satisfying. If you want 3-star options with good Burmese atmosphere, hotels in Yangon cannot compete with resort hotels in Bagan or at Inle Lake.

Top Hotels

We recommend that you stay near the Shwedagon Pagoda, Inya Lake and Kandawgyi Lake. Then you might be able to see the golden pagoda or the lake from your room. And it should be easy to get around at night; or you could just stay at your hotel to enjoy the swimming pool, night bar and spa service.

The hotels we have selected below represent good options in respect of location, facilities and service. We have taken into consideration value for money, quality of service, atmosphere and location.
