January Weather in Yangon - One of the Best Time to Travel

By Wendy Updated Aug. 12, 2021

Weather: There are three seasons in Myanmar. January falls in the dry season. There are low temperatures at night, but it’s not as cold as in December. It barely rains either. January is one of the best times to travel to Yangon.

Clothing: It’s warm in January. However, there is a big temperature difference between day and night. T-shirt and shorts are enough for daytime. As night falls, you need to put on a thin sweater and a pair of pants to keep warm.

High Season: It might cost you a bit more to make a trip to Yangon in January, but it’s worth it. There’s no need to worry about the weather as you’re traveling around.
