Weather:When it comes to October, the cool season, as well as the peak season for travel, begins. Compared to July and August (the wettest months), rainfall in October fall sharply.
Temperatures in October remain fairly stable. Day temperatures are around 33°C (91°F) while night temperatures are about 25°C (77°F). The weather is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor activities.
Clothing: T-shirts and shorts are appropriate in October. Besides, if you want to plan more outdoor activities, you should prepare a pair of comfortable sports shoes or flat shoes.
Things to Do
In October, there is still a small amount of rainfall in the mornings or at night, but this won't have a great effect on your plans for outdoor activities. On the contrary, after the rain the weather will be a bit cooler. Both outdoor and indoor activities are appropriate in this month.

Have Fun at a 9-Hole Golf Course
The beautiful 9-hole Ngapali course is situated right beside the beach, overlooking the sea, on the headland between the main Ngapali beach and the airport. It actually has a total of 18 holes, but due to poor maintenance, only 9 holes are available.
Most hotels have clubs for hire and can arrange booking, including transport to and forth. Or you can get there by taxi and pay the clubhouse about $25 for a 9-hole green fee and club rental.
A caddie costs about 3000 kyat (approximately $4). Although the local rules are a little different, your friendly and helpful caddie can adapt according to your requirements.
If you're a golfer itching for a few holes during your stay at Ngapali Beach, 2 hours here playing 9 holes will be a lot of fun. From the course, you will see beautiful views along the beach, with vast stretches of pure, soft, white and empty sand. The fairways are undulating, but it's not difficult for any level of player.
The weather in October and the atmosphere here conspire to make you feel relaxed. If time permits, you can also take a short walk near the course and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Handpick a Souvenir for Friends
To be frank, Ngapali is not the best place for shopping, due to the lack of commerce and the higher prices compared to big tourist destinations like Yangon. You can still find some souvenir shops at Ngapali Beach, but most of them sell the same kind of stuff.
There is, however, a shop called Mimi Souvenir Shop which was recently opened by a lovely Burmese lady and her German husband, selling nice souvenirs that are different (and even nicer) than the other generic stuff you find at other souvenir shops in Ngapali.
The shop is just under a mango tree and is definitely worth a visit. All the souvenirs are tastefully chosen by the owners and there will definitely be something to catch your eye.
You'll find silver jewelry, handbags, shawls and beautiful shoes made from local fabric, not to mention beautiful scarfs and organic soaps. Items are good quality at a good price and the owners are welcoming and kind.
In addition, trying its homemade ice cream will be a highlight of your visit to the shop. It's exceptionally good with almost 10 different flavors; exotic ones like tamarind, lemongrass or ginger, as well as classic ones rarely found anywhere else, and made with great care and fresh and tasty ingredients.
The ice cream is made by the owner, a German chef, and many visitors come each day just to have a taste of heaven and a cold break from the scorching hot days at the beach. Sitting at the small shop terrace and eating a couple of scoops may simply seem like bliss.
