March Weather in Ngapali

Weather:In Ngapali as well as the rest of Myanmar, hot season begins in March. The average maximum daytime temperature is around 36°C (96°F). Hence, strenuous physical activities such as hiking, trekking or cycling are not recommended in this month. Water activities such as swimming in the sea or swimming pool is a good option to cool down.

Clothing:Don't forget your swimsuits, sunhats, as well as sunglasses as you might do more water activities due to the hot weather.

Things to Do

As mentioned, strenuous physical activities are not recommended, however there are various water sports you can enjoy,such as snorkeling, kayaking, or rafting.When you feel hot, you can just jump into the sea or the river to cool down.

Kayaking

Sea kayaking is another fun option you can do. If it's your first time, in the beginning you might find it a little bit difficult to control the kayak. But don't worry, you will learn quickly. You might capsize several times,but when you finally get the knack, the joy of kayaking begins.

You need to use a double-bladed paddle to pull front-to-back on one side and then the other side alternately. When you've master the kayak, then you can enjoy seeing all kinds of tropical fishes surrounding you. During the hot season, the water is clear and has good visibility. It will surely be one of the highlights of your vacation in Ngapali.

Note: Since you will get a lot of sun exposure, sunscreen protection is important. A long-sleeved swimsuit and a sun hat with wide brim is suitable for kayaking.

Rafting

Apart from sea, river is another good place for water sports. Thandwe River does provide several water activities,with rafting being one of the most popular.

There are less whitewater rapids here, making the experience is suitable for beginners or young families. During the 2.5 hours rafting, you will pass by throughpeanut plantations, watermelon farms, and various other vegetables farms.

Then when you disembark at Thandwe River Bridge, the 4X4 truck will pick you up and take you to the local village. You will get the opportunity to interact with the locals and see their daily lifestyle. This will be a great opportunity to enjoy a different perspective of Myanmar and take memorable photographs.
