Things to Prepare
As the weather is hot, sunny, and dry, sunscreen and other skincare products are necessary. Prepare them in advance because it may hard to buy the brand you use in Vientiane.

Things to Do
The dry season is the best time to travel around the city. Under the clear sky and dazzling sunshine, the golden temples and pagodas become more splendid. It is the time to take some photos and share them online to get many “likes”.
Please Note
The best time to visit always means it’s the peak season. Therefore, you are advised to confirm your booking at least 1 month in advance.
Wet Season: May to October
The temperature drops a little but the level of precipitation reaches its peak. This period is also known as the rainy season or the green season. In the wettest months of July and August, there might be over 20 rainy days within a month.
August to October is also the typhoon season.
Clothing
Summer clothes can still be worn during the daytime but do take a warmer jacket and long trousers for the nights and rainy days.
Things to Prepare
As the sun still shines on clear days, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are useful. An umbrella can protect you from both the sun and the rain.
Things to Do
This is the low season with fewer crowds at attractions. You will have more time to admire the details of temples and to listen to the stories told by your guide. It is also a great idea to visit some markets, which are also liked by local people.
Please Note
Strong typhoons and the accompanying rain may interrupt your journey. You are advised to stay in your hotel when there is a typhoon. If you are traveling with us, your guide and travel consultant will help you to focus on the weather conditions.

Air Quality in Vientiane
Although Vientiane is the capital city of Laos, the city is not as busy and bustling as other capital cities. In comparison, few cars are running and there are few heavy industries in and around the city. You generally don’t need to worry about air pollution when visiting the city.
However, the slash-and-burn farming technique used in some remote villages may cause air pollution, especially during the dry season. If you have a respiratory disease, wear a face mask or take some medicine during this time. The situation gets better when the rainy season arrives in May.
