A visit to Bali isn't complete without a visit to one of the many beach clubs found on the island, popular for their perfect combination of bar and music combined with a beach view. Bali's beach clubs also serve food, meaning you can stay through dinner or plan your visit around another mealtime.
Read on to find out more about where in Bali you can relax on a beach lounger, with a drink in your hand, for the ultimate holiday-on-a-tropical-island experience.
1. The Lawn

Set on Canggu's Batu Bolong Beach, the views from the Lawn are beautiful, giving you the opportunity to enjoy watching the surfers along this popular surf spot. Combine this with good music and cocktails, and you've got yourself the perfect holiday afternoon. The Lawn serves food such asand fries, as well as pizzas and lots of other sharing dishes perfect for the entire family.

2. Sundays Beach Club

One of the beach clubs that actually has loungers on the beach (as opposed to a beach view only, which many beach clubs have), Sundays Beach Club gives you the opportunity to have your feet in the sand and a drink in hand at the same time. You'll find the entrance through an elevator, or you can take a funicular ride down to the loungers for an afternoon or evenings relaxing by the turquoise water and white sand beach. Sundays Beach Club is also known for being surrounded by luscious green jungle.
Location: Uluwatu
3. Potato Head Beach Club

Probably one of the best-known beach clubs in Bali, Potato Head is an institution. It calls its style “tropical modernism,” with a huge venue built out of brushed concrete and reclaimed wood. It is more than just a beach club, offering its space for creative events such as film screenings and cultural conventions from time to time, and giving way for internationally known DJs on other days. In terms of pools, you'll find an infinity pool, three restaurants, and a swim-up bar there, with loungers positioned around these. The entire beach club is zero-waste with a focus on sustainability, which we also love.

4. Old Man's

For a more relaxed vibe, this laid-back beer garden is just off the Batu Bolong surf spot, making it popular with surfers in the area. There is a strong happy hour between 5pm and 6pm, with drinks buy-one-get-one-free. Sports events will also usually be screened on the projectors there for fans, which draws big crowds during international competitions. Old Man's has had a strong following since it opened over 20 years ago for these very reasons.
Location: Canggu
5. Jungle Fish Bali
While not technically on a beach (as there aren't any in Ubud, located in central Bali), Jungle Fish Bali has transported the beach club vibes into the jungle at their split-level venue. Known for its choice of EDM, as well as a large infinity pool with a swim-up bar, Jungle Fish Bali serves experimental drinks made with locally-sourced ingredients (think arak, kaffir lime, and chili). Architecturally, it takes and combines elements of Balinese design and Danish design, and the menu mirrors this as it includes plenty of fusion dishes with Asian flavors.
Location: Ubud
6. TT Beach Club
Combining perfect beach views with Balinese architectural artisanship, TT Beach Club is a summary of what you'd expect Bali to be: breezy cabanas, daybeds, beautiful infinity pools (one of which is made out of glass), and private air-conditioned rooms available to rent for private events. After sunset, international DJs take the stage for the perfect way to end a warm Bali day.
Location: Ungasan
7. Ku De Ta
One of Bali's original beach spots, Ku De Ta, is a restaurant as well as a beach club, but also sports daybeds, a plunge pool, and music to keep you going throughout the day. While the restaurants are very good, the atmosphere there isn't pretentious, making it the perfect place to spend the day lounging and drinking. When it comes to dinner, Ku De Ta's menu features steak, oysters, but also a range of other mains and a kids' menu for those traveling with families. Snacks are available throughout the day, and you can also go there for breakfast as it opens at 8am.

8. Karma Beach Club
Located in a jungle-covered cove in Uluwatu, Karma Beach Club has a cosy and private feel about it as you enter through a funicular, making it a good spot for a date night in Bali. There are kayaks, bean bags, and daybeds to lounge on the beach on. Karma also has a big focus on nurturing a creative community, with DJs from around the world playing events there.
Location: Uluwatu
9. Canna Bali

One of Nusa Dua's newest additions is Canna Bali Beach Club — a mixture of restaurants, live music, and daybeds by the pool and on the beach, this is somewhere you could easily spend an entire day. For those that want to escape the midday heat, there is an indoors air-conditioned section, but for those who want to be on the beach soaking in the rays, there are beautiful bohemian teepees around bonfires.
Location: Nusa Dua
10. Omnia Dayclub Bali
Also located in Uluwatu, Omnia Dayclub Bali is adult-only, and one of the only beach clubs in Bali to be so. It is a decadent beach club and one of the more expensive ones on this list, with a picturesque cubic bar perched on the water for perfect holiday shots looking over the Indian Ocean. You'll find plunge pools, infinity pools, and plenty of cocktails on their drinks list. If you're keen to visit Omnia for a DJ event, we recommend visiting on weekends as opposed to weekdays. For those wanting to have a quieter time, we recommend earlier in the day on weekdays.

11. Cafe Del Mar

Another great option for luxury is to head on over to Cafe Del Mar on Canggu's Berawa Beach. You'll find a 10,000-square-meter (100,000-square-foot) pool club spread across two levels, including a 1,000-square-meter (10,000-square-foot) infinity pool with views over the sea. Of course, there are multiple swim-up bars and cocktail lounges, and the restaurant serves up Mediterranean dishes for when you get hungry.
Location: Canggu
12. Sundara Beach Club
If you are based in Jimbaran, Sundara Beach Club might be your go-to beach club for elegant and romantic beach days. For those traveling with kids, there is a kid's club, giving you the space to enjoy Sundara Beach Club's infinity pool without distractions. There's an all-day menu focusing on BBQ items, and a wonderful cocktail list to go along with the gorgeous sunset views.
