Top restaurants in Siem Reap

It is easy to find good food around the city. We chose these three restaurants because of the quality of their food, the variety of their menu, and the quality of service.

Marum and Haven are also "training restaurants", trying to help the local community by teaching useful working skills to disadvantaged teenagers. They provide a nice dining experience, and you are served by warm and welcoming staff.

Marum

You can have dinner inside their garden and try dishes from their menu such as a coconut, young bamboo and beetroot salad, or a fish soup with tamarind and morning glory. There are plenty of options for vegetarian and for fish lovers as well.

The restaurant serves traditional Khmer dishes, and the quality of the food is excellent.

The staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is informal and cozy.

The Marum restaurant is part of the TREE Alliance, who aims to help disadvantaged local young adults. TREE Alliance offer them the opportunity to learn a job, and 100% of their profit is invested in the students training there.

Haven

Haven is among the most popular restaurants in Siem Reap, and booking in advance is a good idea. The ambient mood is cozy and relaxed. The menu offers a wide range of Asian and western food, with many options for families, vegetarians, and vegans. The staff is friendly and warm.

Every morning, the chef goes to the market to select the freshest ingredients. A large window allows you to have a look inside the kitchen.

Among their best dishes are the Khmer Noodle Soup and the Khmer Amok. Fish dishes are a must, but they also cook excellent burgers.

Like Marum, Haven also is a training restaurant. They train teenagers for 16 months, teaching them the difficult job of a chef.
